Cricket Betting at biji — Odds and Markets Guide for BPL, IPL and International Matches
From T20 to Test — all format markets in one place. This page explains in plain language how to read odds, which markets you can bet on, and how live betting works.
Cricket Formats and Competitions
Betting experience across different format matches
T20 is the most popular format among cricket fans in Bangladesh — the fast pace, frequent wickets and final-over drama keep betting exciting. The BPL draws large audiences every season, and alongside the IPL, ICC tournaments give fans a chance to follow the Tigers on the international stage.
T20
Short format — 20 overs per innings. Results shift quickly, so live betting stays highly active.
ODI
This 50-over format involves more strategy. Odds move noticeably during mid-game momentum shifts.
Test
A long five-day contest — pitch conditions, weather and batting order are at the centre of betting here.
biji offers markets for sports beyond cricket, including football. However, cricket's innings-based markets (such as top batsman or over totals) work differently from football markets like half-time/full-time result or corner count — the market structure of the two sports is distinct.
biji's Popular Betting Markets
The markets below are the most used on biji. Each one is explained with a plain-language example.
Match Winner
A bet on which of the two teams will win. In T20 there is no draw, so there are only two options.
SimplestToss Winner
Which team wins the toss before the match starts — this does not depend on the result, so odds are nearly even.
Quick SettlementTop Batsman
A bet on which player will score the most runs in a specific team's innings.
Specialist BetTotal Runs Over/Under
You choose whether the total runs in a match will be above or below a set number.
Stats-BasedMulti Bet
Multiple match bets combined into one. Example: three selections at 1.40 × 1.60 × 1.70 = 3.81 — payment is made only if all selections win.
Higher Return PotentialTop Bowler
Which bowler takes the most wickets in an innings — popular for longer-term bets.
Wicket-FocusedHow to Read Odds in Three Formats
Betting platforms display odds in three different formats — decimal, fractional and American. All three express the same probability; only the way they are written differs. Two real examples below show the difference.
| Format | Team A wins | Team B wins | Explanation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | 1.80 | Total return including stake. ৳1,000 × 2.50 = ৳2,500 |
| Fractional | 3/2 | 4/5 | Shows profit only. 3/2 means ৳1,500 profit on a ৳1,000 stake. |
| American | +150 | -125 | + means profit on a 100 stake; − means how much to stake to win 100. |
Example 1 (Underdog): Team A odds 2.50 / 3/2 / +150. A winning ৳1,000 bet returns ৳2,500 (৳1,500 profit + ৳1,000 stake). If it loses, ৳1,000 is gone.
Example 2 (Favourite): Team B odds 1.80 / 4/5 / −125. A winning ৳1,000 bet returns ৳1,800 (৳800 profit). American −125 means you need to stake ৳125 to win ৳100.
Decimal, fractional and American — three forms of the same odds
On biji's biji Bet, decimal format is the default. The option to change format is usually found in account settings.
Odds Change When a Wicket Falls — Live Betting
With live or in-play betting, you can place bets while the match is in progress. Odds update instantly after every over, wicket or boundary — that is the main draw of this market.
Say Team A were favourites at the start of an innings. If three quick wickets fall, odds shift in favour of Team B. If the market is open at that moment, a new bet can be placed. However, live markets can close quickly, especially while the ball is in play.
Live odds updates during a match
In ODI and Test, odds fluctuate most during the powerplay and death overs. In T20, live markets are especially active in the final five overs.
Some Useful Tips for Cricket Betting
Betting is one form of entertainment — there is no guarantee of profit. Keeping the following in mind makes the experience more comfortable.
- Before placing bets on multiple markets in a single match, understand the rules of each one separately — match winner and top batsman are entirely different markets.
- In a multi bet, all selections must win together. More selections mean a higher return — but if even one loses, the entire stake is lost.
- In live betting you have less time to decide. Stay within your set budget without rushing.
- In over/under markets, pitch and weather conditions affect run scoring — factor this in when assessing the market.
- Betting is primarily entertainment. The amount you will win cannot be determined in advance; the real budget is how much you can afford to lose.

Football and Other Sports Markets
biji offers both cricket and football markets
Alongside cricket, football betting is also available at biji. Football has markets such as half-time/full-time result, goalscorer and corner count — these are structurally different from cricket's innings-based markets. Multi bets are available for both sports, but a strategy for one sport cannot be applied directly to the other.
Beyond that, casino games are also available at biji. For slots and live table games, visit the biji Casino page, which has details on game categories. If you are interested in card-based bingo games, the West Hunter Bingo page covers the rules and features of that game.
